We are DiBS! This stands for protection against discrimination and counseling for pupils.
DiBS! is an offer of ReBUZ Bremen and Bremerhaven. We belong to the municipal authorities of Bremerhaven and to the Senator for Children and Education in Bremen.
We are there for all students in Bremen and Bremerhaven who experience discrimination.
Discrimination means that people are disadvantaged, excluded, insulted or physically attacked because they actually or ascribedly have certain characteristics or are in certain life situations. These can be, for example, gender, religion, skin colour, residence status, social origin, appearance or physical characteristics.
We talk to you about what you have experienced or are still experiencing. We are at your side. We won't say anything else. We listen to you.
We will discuss with you what you can do against discrimination and support you. We look with you how your situation can improve. You decide what happens.
We can also advise you anonymously.
You can meet us alone or bring someone with you – as it is better for you. We advise you at various locations in Bremen. We arrange to meet where you feel comfortable. Either in our consultation rooms at ReBUZ or at your school or at another place where we can talk in a pleasant atmosphere.
